I’m Mrs Amey, I started working in Year 2 at Woodlands in September 2021. I have 3 years experience supporting teachers and children across KS1, with my main experience in Year 2.
I love to see and encourage the children become independent and flourish as they navigate their way around their own learning.
I am easy going and I like to have a laugh with the children and am often seen around the playground playing catch or running after a tennis ball that’s been hit in the opposite direction to where I’m stood - which amuses the children!
In my spare time, I do a lot of crafting, making things from cards to jewellery. I love spending time with my 3 boys, baking or just chilling out watching a movie (normally Harry Potter). I love to go outdoors just not when its too hot. I also have 3 cats names Scratch, Leela and Batman. I am also a qualified hairdresser.

My name is Mrs Braine and I currently work in Early Years here at Woodlands Academy. I’ve been at the school since 2018 having previously worked in a day nursery and children’s centre and enjoy working with children of this age, introducing them to learning.
When I’m not in school, I enjoy reading and both playing and watching sport. I often spend my weekends either down at Ashton Gate or travelling the country watching Bristol City.

I'm Miss Cooke and I started working at Woodlands Academy in 2021 after a career change. I had spent 14 years in the aviation industry working as an air hostess. Currently, I am supporting the teachers in year 3 and 4. I also run a Spanish lunch club and I look after the school garden, keeping the children busy with different activities and encouraging them to spend time in nature.
I am passionate about giving all children equal opportunities so that they can reach their full potential. Being bilingual myself, I like to give that extra attention to those children, whose first language is not English.
In my free time I'm always on a new adventure with my two children:camping, glamping, road trips. I also enjoy swimming, scuba diving and kayaking and teaching my children about nature.
