Reception Visit Avon Valley

8th July 2019

On Monday 8th July Reception went on a fantastic trip to Avon Valley.  We were the only school there so had the whole place to ourselves!  We were taken on a tour of the park where we were introduced to the animals.  We then moved on to pony grooming and an activity where we had to match the animals to their diets.  We were then introduced to lots of other animals and got to stroke a chicken, a rabbit, an owl, a snake, a millipede, a hissing cockroach, a guinea pig, a tortoise and a chick.

After lunch we watched the pig racing which the we all loved (especially the adults!) Finally we were given a pack of animal cards and we had to go around the park finding them in the correct order before heading back to ‘base’ for a quiz.  Have a look at some pictures from our amazing day out.
